Accessibility
The Istanbul Children and Youth Art Biennial considers access to art and to high-quality art education for every child to be one of its core aims. Taking part in the biennial and attending its events is free of charge, and the application guidelines give priority to projects by disadvantaged and disabled participants and to collectively produced projects.
What we know
- All events at the 2026 biennial were free of charge.
- The school visit application form asked schools to share their special needs, accessibility requests and transport details.
- At various times, the biennial has worked with organisations that work with disabled children and young people.
Venues
The biennial takes place at different venues in each edition. This site does not yet have detailed information on the physical accessibility of the venues (ramps, lifts, accessible toilets, etc.). We kindly ask you to write to us before planning your visit; we will check the facilities with the venue and get back to you.
