Who can apply?

Teachers, parents, independent art organisations and artists working with children and young people aged 4–18.

Rules

In the 2026 biennial, a separate application timeline applied to digital projects, music and the performing arts, alongside the visual arts applications. Applications were made through the “Project Application Form” on the website; the general participation requirements and evaluation criteria are those of the 2026 application guidelines.

Information requested on the form

Contact details of the adult making the application, school or institution details, the number of children/young people who will make the work, the title of the work/piece/project, its content and description, the stages of implementation, project details (a digital demo or similar version of the project is requested) and display/technical requirements (stage, sound system, screen, electricity).

Students’ names are not requested on the application form; they are requested separately at a later stage of the project.

Digital deliveries

Accepted video works must be sent to [email protected] by e-mail or WeTransfer by 06 April 2026.

  • The file format must be MP4 only.
  • The video must begin and end with 2 seconds of black screen.
  • The video must end with credits (project title, year, school name, and the first names and surnames of everyone in the project team).
  • The credits must be set in Times New Roman at 12–18 pt.
